I know the restorer Ornella Li Vigni and I know the restoration works she hasperformed. I have seen her on more than one occasion working under the expert guidance of Giuliano Baldi, the former chief restorer of the Istituto Centrale delRestauro in Rome. Therefore, for having observed it personally I know how conscientious she is in her work, how careful and precise in the cleaning of the panels and canvases, and how skilled in retouching. I believe she is a particularly gifted person in the exacting art of restoration.
